Dr. David T. Crouch, an Illinois native, earned his DVM from Iowa State University in 1996. He went on to complete a medical and surgical internship at the University of Tennessee and a surgical residency at the University of Missouri–Columbia.

A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Crouch is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Orthopedic Society, and a charter member of both the Canine Shoulder Society and the Veterinary Arthrology Advancement Association.

Dr. Crouch is recognized for his expertise in arthroscopic surgery, Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO), Arthrex TightRope repair for cranial cruciate ligament rupture, shoulder (rotator cuff) reconstruction, and hip luxation repair.

Outside of surgery, Dr. Crouch is a private pilot and an active volunteer with the Pilots N Paws rescue organization. He is also a proud Leadership Circle Member of the Asheville Humane Society, reflecting his dedication to both his patients and the broader animal welfare community.
Dr. Hoffman grew up as an “Army brat,” spending his childhood across the globe (from Virginia to Washington and Belgium to Senegal with many places in between) before settling in Wisconsin just before high school.

He earned his veterinary degree from Michigan State University in 2015, followed by a rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania and an orthopedic research fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Hoffman completed his surgical residency at the University of Minnesota in 2020. He continued practicing in Minnesota for another year at a clinic serving low-income clients where he gained extensive experience in fracture repair; performing 3 to 5 fracture repairs each week.

When his wife, also a veterinarian, began a residency in Shelter Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, they returned to Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Hoffman expanded his expertise at a clinic devoted exclusively to orthopedic surgery.

After years of long winters surrounded by corn fields and cows, they dreamed of mountains and a milder climate. His wife spent time at the ASPCA in Asheville where she fell in love with the area, and after one visit, Dr. Hoffman did too. Soon after, they packed up their two young children, Magnolia and Emrys, along with their border collie, blue heeler, and two cats, and made the move to WNC.

Dr. Hoffman’s clinical interests include fracture repair, angular limb deformities, and improving access to care. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys hiking, gardening, woodworking, and chasing after his tiny humans.
