Care Coordinators

Amanda and Holly will be your first contact and assist you with all things from scheduling to release instructions.

Amanda

Amanda is a proud WNC native and has been with the WCVS family for over 18 years.

Amanda is an integral part in keeping this ship afloat, from hospital management duties to client resource to nursing care, she does it all.

Outside of the clinic, Amanda loves spending time with her husband and teenage daughter. Their home is filled with two cats, a dog, a snake, and a flock of chickens that keep life interesting.

Holly

Holly is originally from South Florida and moved to Asheville about ten years ago, where she quickly became an essential part of the WCVS team.

She brings more than 20 years of experience in the veterinary field and also provides support to other board-certified specialists throughout the region.

Outside of work, Holly devotes her time to caring for her two special-needs kitties, who are more than happy to keep her busy.

Nursing Team

Our highly trained nursing team will assist in all aspects of your pet's care and will be there to support them overnight after their procedure.

Kris

Kris is originally from Michigan but has been in the Asheville area since 1989. Kris has been with WCVS since the beginning, more than 23 years of experience. Her love for every animal, expertise, steady leadership, and warm personality has been essential to our growth, and she’s a natural fit in her role as lead nurse.

Outside the clinic, Kris loves hiking, camping, and just about anything outdoors—and she’s the talent behind the beautiful sunset photo at the top of our page!

Teri

Teri is a Texas native who has loved caring for animals for as long as she can remember; picture 5-year-old Teri carrying lambs in the barn and crafting makeshift splints for family pets. She spent time pet sitting and working at her hometown veterinary clinic before earning her Animal Science degree from Texas A&M in 2011. After time in the food safety and quality assurance field, she returned to her true passion in veterinary medicine. Teri has been part of the WCVS team since 2017 and completed her veterinary assistant certification in 2018.

Outside of work, Teri enjoys reading, trying new recipes, and spending time with her family.

Shaianne

Shaianne was born and raised in Western North Carolina. She joined WCVS in 2024 with 4 years of experience in veterinary medicine.

Outside of work, Shaianne loves spending time outdoors exploring with her wonderful husband and baby boy. Their home is filled with two kitties and a feisty little Chiweenie

Grace

Grace is our most recent addition to WCVS! She joins us from just over the border in South Carolina. She has been riding horses since before she could walk and competing in barrel racing for years. Grace worked for a mobile veterinary practice in SC before joining WCVS this past fall. She is just beginning her journey in veterinary medicine but she is eager to learn, intelligent and has been an excellent addition to our team.

In her free time, Grace enjoys baking, riding, reading, and playing with her dog
